Mr. Hailu has over 10 years of experience in the defeasance industry and has spoken at conferences sponsored by professional organizations including the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the American College of Mortgage Attorneys (ACMA), and the Advanced Real Property Institute. Mr. Hailu formerly managed the defeasance group at Capmark Securities Inc., an affiliate of Capmark Finance Inc., one of the nation’s largest CMBS servicers . While at Capmark, he oversaw a team which managed over one thousand defeasance transactions representing over $10 Billion in principal loan balance.
